✒️ Event Abstract:

At a time when artificial intelligence is rapidly reshaping education, work, and everyday life, the question of how to cultivate learners’ critical and creative agency in their interactions with AI has become paramount. This two-day professional learning event addresses this challenge by exploring how AI literacy can be reimagined beyond technical skills to foreground learners’ capacity to question, interpret, and shape AI outputs in meaningful and ethical ways.

The event will open with a keynote that examines the role of agency in AI literacy. Two interactive workshops will extend these ideas into practice. Workshop 1 will focus on assessment in the age of AI, exploring AI-aware assessment designs. Workshop 2 will focus on pedagogy, with particular attention to fostering students’ critical and creative agency through AI-mediated learning activities. Workshop participants are expected to bring their own lesson plans, activities, or assessments and engage in hands on redesign work, applying key concepts directly to their teaching contexts.
