AI Chatbots for Higher Education: Theory and Practice

Description

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is continuously changing the world and AI Chatbots - the AI based software applications, are commonly used in everyday life now to simulate human written or spoken conversations. These technologies are at your fingertips already, you can find them in your mobile, social media, e-banking, as well as the 24-hour customer service in many online shops. Apart from business field, AI Chatbots are also influencing the education. They can help teachers provide personalized learning environment to students to improve their overall learning experience.

 

In this workshop, Dr. Leon Lei from the University of Hong Kong (HKU) will introduce chatbots in the AI ecosystem of higher education and how to build a chatbot on Google’s Dialogflow. While Dr. Christopher See from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) will share his practice and experience in developing Medical School chatbot, and explore the future of chatbots and AI with the participants.
